Learn how to tell right from wrong.

If we are to be godly we will have to learn how to tell what is ungodly. This is not always as easy as it may sound, for Satan is a master at transforming himself into an "angel of light." - 2 Corinthians 11:14

We may see through Satan's disguises and develop discernment only by saturating our hearts and minds with the study and memorization of scripture. "Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed thereto according to thy word...Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee...I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways." - Psalm 119:9-16

We will become discerning believers if we learn to consider life's options and propositions in the light of the Bible and the following questions:

Does the idea or activity exalt God or man? Spirit or Flesh?
Does it teach that man can solve his own problems?
Does it contradict the plain teaching or fact of scripture?
Does it violate the moral or ethical laws of God's Word?
Does it violate the spirit or attitude of God's Word?
Is the proposal of Faith? "Whatsoever is not of faith is sin." - Romans 14:23
Does the proposal bring guilt to the Bible-taught conscience? - James 4:17
How does the pursuit, event, hobby or act measure up against. - Philippians 4:8,9?
